My name is Dr. Yazdan and I’m a cosmetic dentist in Newport Beach, CA. I have learned how to grow an Instagram account that turns my followers into patients, and it’s become a passion of mine to help you do the same! So I created this video and blog because on a daily I get so many messages from other healthcare professionals wondering how to be consistent on social media.  They know they need to use social media for their business, but they just can’t get it together, and when they do, they spend hours and hours actually putting their content together, and the next thing they know, they have spent all day on their phone.

I used to be the same way. But I have learned how to fit social media into my daily life without allowing it to consume my life. The main thing that’s going to help you here is batching your content. Batching your social media content is key. It helps you be consistent. It helps you stay organized. It helps give you feed the proper flow.  Batching my content has also given me my life back! Now, posting on social media is so simple. I know exactly what I will be post each day, and the best part is that it only takes a few minutes to actually post.

Now here’s the part you really need to pay attention to.  How to actually batch your social media content.  There’s no way around it other than you just have to sit down and do the work. So what I want you to do is carve out 1-2 hours in the next few days where you can sit down and batch your content. If you’re in my program Grow With The Gram, I teach you exactly how to batch 1 month of content in just 1 day. Make sure you go through that bonus and use the worksheets so that you can really get your strategy together. If you’re not in my program, make sure to watch the video above, or keep reading this blog because it’s still going to help.

So when you’re batching your social media content, you have to first think about your captions. Start easy, batch out your captions for the next week. Don’t make it complicated. Think about what aspects of your business you want to showcase. Maybe a before/after photo. Maybe a new system you have introduced in your office. Maybe some behind the scenes footage.  Once you get your captions together for the next week, what I want you to do is get your photos for those captions. If you’re just starting out, use your smart phone to take your own photos.

Now that you know what your captions will be, it will be easier to see what photos you actually need. So, for example, if I was posting a before and after photo, I would figure out for what procedure, I’d put the photos together, watermark them, and have it ready to go. If I was posting a behind the scenes photo, I’d make sure I had a photo in my scrubs, or my white coat that I can post.

There are plenty of apps you can use to put text on a photo. You can even use some stock images if you don’t have any photos and don’t have time to take photos. If you go to www.pexels.com, they offer free photos that you can download and use! So don’t let not having any photos be your excuse for not posting! There are so many simple ways you can get photos. After you get your photos for each caption, now you can use an app like planoly to actually put everything together.

As you go through your week you will realize how easy it was to post. And, instead of feeling stressed about what to post because you’ve been batching your social media content, you’ll have so much more free time to engage with your tribe! Now, you do have to do the initial work of getting everything together and actually batching your social media content. For 1 week it shouldn’t take you more than 1 hour. What’s interesting is that when you do it daily, it seems to take an hour a day to get your caption and your photo together.  When you factor in doing that every day for a week, that’s 7 hours. But when you sit down and let your creative mindset settle in, mapping out 1 week of content will actually take just 1 hour. The first time it may take a little longer, but once you get the hang of it, it will go by faster and faster. Before you know it, you will be mapping out 2 weeks of content in 1 hour!

The process of batching your social media content makes everything so much easier so make sure you start doing it right away. It’s what I do and it’s what I recommend my Grow With The Gram insiders do! To get you started, make sure you download my Instagram Guide For Healthcare Professionals from below (It’s FREE).
