With so many shapes, sizes, and styles of toothbrushes, sometimes it can become difficult in deciding what?s right for you! Here are some tips of what you should look for when choosing a toothbrush.
- Always choose a toothbrush with soft bristles! Soft bristled brushes are best for removing plaque and debris from teeth and along the gumline, and they reduce the risk of you harming your enamel and gum tissues.
- Electric Toothbrushes Vs. Regular ones: Regular toothbrushes work great, but the powered ones make brushing easier by doing the work for you! Make sure you aren?t pressing hard when using an electric toothbrush to avoid damaging your enamel or gum tissue!
- Comfort is key! Pick the shape and size that is most comfortable for you! After all, the best toothbrush is the one that is easy for you to hold in your mouth to reach all your teeth!
Personal Note: My favorite?toothbrush is a manual sulcus brush that I use every morning. (I use a sonicare in the evening). ? My secret sulcus brush is thin, but efficient, and really gets ?in all those grooves between my teeth!?If you are a patient of mine, I’ve definitely introduced you, and have gotten you hooked on my favorite toothbrush!
